She was a substitute for rural mail carrier in her later years. She took census polls in the Douglas area for several decades. She wrote for the Douglas News at the McLean County Independent for 40 years. They lived and farmed in the Douglas area their entire lives. She was raised and educated in Douglas and graduated as valedictorian from Douglas High School in 1941.
She was born Septemin Douglas Township, rural Douglas, ND, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Theil) Blonigen. NW, Douglas, ND, died of cancer on Tuesday, Februin a Minot medical center. Later he worked for Nienow House Moving and then at various power plants as a Foreman. He worked for several years at Timms Moving and Storage. He married Delores Longie on November 22, 1967.
He attended Minot Public School and graduated from the Adult Learning Center. In 1995, she moved to Edgewood Vista, Minot. She took care of her mother until the fall of 1975. She returned to live in Burlington, ND, in 1970. They farmed for many years in Callahan Township, near Grano and traveled in the winter months. In September, 1940, she married Clark Edward Hedberg in Mohall. She was reared in the Grano area and attended Grassland and Grano schools, and graduated from Carpio High School in 1933. She was born January 4, 1915, in Callahan Township, rural Grano, to Marion and Grace (Webster) Nelson.
